Books in the Bar

We partnered with a local bar and liquor company who made special drinks for the event. We called it books in the bar and just made the event centered around adult reading. We wanted to make it more fun for adults who don’t usually read. Adults who read will read with their kids, so we thought let’s start with the baseline instead of the frontline.

I went around and found several local bookstores and comic bookstores as well as gamer type stores as well. I located a couple other authors besides myself to come sign books. We set it up like a vendor event outside and brought tents. Future events we will just have vendors and authors at the provided picnic tables. We passed out posters and flyers but the best results were spending a little money on boosting the event on Facebook to the local community.
